An example, before you sign up for anything

This is what you get back.

A real routine for combination skin with visible texture and mild sensitivity — four steps in the morning, three at night, with the retinal paced to two evenings a week. Change one answer and the whole thing recalculates.

Exact application order, AM and PM
Ingredient-level recommendations, never brand ads
Active pacing tuned to your sensitivities
Budget bands so nothing is out of reach

Morning

  1. 1Low-foam cleanse
  2. 2Vitamin C 10%
  3. 3Gel-cream
  4. 4SPF 50

Evening

  1. 1Cleansing balm
  2. 2Retinal 0.05% · Mon/Thu
  3. 3Ceramide cream

Tue / Fri: azelaic acid instead. Sunday: recovery night, nothing active.

Example output. Yours is generated from your own photo and answers.

How it works

Three inputs. Under sixty seconds.

01

Take a selfie

Natural light, no makeup, no filter. Your photo is analyzed once, never sold, never used to train outside models.

02

Answer 6 questions

Skin type, goals, sensitivities, what you already own, effort level, budget. About forty seconds.

03

Get your routine

A complete AM and PM routine with exact ingredients, application order, and the nights each active runs.

Premium · Scan My Shelf

Start with the shelf you already paid for.

Photograph your bathroom shelf, or just type the names. Every product comes back in one of four buckets — and the routine is rebuilt from what survives.

Keep

Foaming cleanser, ceramide cream, SPF 50 — each doing a job nothing else does.

Skip

The third exfoliant and the second hyaluronic serum. Duplicates, not progress.

Conflict

Retinol and glycolic acid on the same night. Spaced across the week instead.

Missing

A barrier moisturizer. One purchase, described by ingredient — not by brand.

Our method

Built on ingredient logic, not skincare hype.

Every recommendation traces back to what a formula contains and what job your routine still needs done. If the honest answer is that you already own it, that is the answer you get.

Formulas, not front labels

We read what a product is made of and what job it can actually do. Clean, non-toxic, and dermatologist-tested are marketing terms, and we treat them as such.

One active, properly paced

Three exfoliants do not triple results — they triple irritation. Your actives get assigned nights, with recovery nights built in.

Nothing to sell you

We have no house line and no sponsored placements, which is precisely why the answer is sometimes skip it, or you already own this.

Private by architecture

Your selfie powers your analysis and nothing else. No resale, no outside model training, deletable in one tap.

Week 8

Barrier comfort up. Visible shine down. Same four products.

The toolkit

Four tools, one point of view.

From people who dislike skincare marketing

Fewer products. Calmer skin.

I'd been buying serums on recommendations from strangers for two years. Dermavitas cut my routine to five products and my skin has never looked calmer.

Maya R.

Combination skin · 8 weeks in

The 'Should I Buy This?' answer talked me out of a $92 cream and into a $19 one that did the same job. It paid for itself instantly.

Daniel K.

Oily skin · 5 weeks in

Everything explains itself. It's the first time a skincare tool told me why a step exists instead of just selling me the step.

Priya S.

Sensitive, dry skin · 12 weeks in

The difference

Not another quiz that sells you a bundle.

Brand quizzes exist to move inventory. Dermavitas has no inventory — which is exactly why it can tell you to skip something.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is this medical advice?+

No. Dermavitas gives cosmetic guidance only — routine structure, ingredient categories, and application order. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. For acne, rosacea, eczema, or any changing spot, see a licensed dermatologist.

What happens to my selfie?+

It's used to generate your analysis and nothing else. It is never sold, never shared with brands, never used to train outside models, and you can delete it at any time.

What are the skin signals you show me?+

They are AI-estimated readings of visible cosmetic qualities — hydration, texture, barrier comfort, and tone evenness. They are estimates from a photo and your answers, clearly labeled as such, and they are not clinical measurements.

Do I have to buy specific brands?+

Never. We recommend ingredients and product categories with a budget band, so you can shop wherever you already shop — including the drugstore. Shopping links are secondary and always ingredient-led.

What if I already have a routine?+

Use Scan My Shelf. Every product comes back as keep, skip, conflict, or missing, and we only suggest a purchase when a job on your shelf has nothing assigned to it.
